White Chocolate Cranberry Cookies {Or the time I became a food blogger for a hot second}

This ain’t my style folks, but because I love all of you SO much I’m doing it.

I promised the world famous Hoover Christmas cookies to a few of you and I’m making good on that promise. Now in all my years as a blogger I have NEVER posted a recipe. I love that so many of my bloggy friends do and I take full advantage of them, but my non-detail oriented side has trouble writing down recipes and organizing my thoughts.

It’s a new day though. This once I am going to share the goodness of a no fail, change your life recipe. A perfectly done one of these beauts can change the world, bring world peace, inspire goodwill. They are that good.

Ok, this is the section where I confess that I may very well have a huge conflict with my amazing husband over this act of blogging. He is crazy protective of these cookies. CRAY-ZEEEEEE.  As in he doesn’t want anyone to have or know how to make them.

I reminded him there are other places on the internet to find similar recipes. Nevermind that he tells me. There is a part of me which can’t blame him because, fo’ real these cookies are slap yo’ mama good, but don’t do that…just make the cookies and enjoy the season…no mama slappin’ required.

White Chocolate Cranberry Cookies

2 Dozen,  Preheat oven to 375 degrees

1/3 cup butter, softened

1/2 cup packed brown sugar

1/3 cup sugar

1 egg

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 1/2 cups all purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

3/4 cup dried cranberries

1/2 cup white chocolate baking chips

In a medium bowl combine flour, salt and baking soda. In large bowl, crumble sugars and butter with an electric mixer. Beat  in egg and vanilla.

Slowly add dry ingredients to butter mixture with your mixer. After dry ingredients are incorporated stir in cranberries and baking chips

Drop by heaping spoonfuls  2″ apart onto baking sheets coated with cooking spray. bake for 8-10 minutes. Cool for one minute then remove to wire rack or plate to fully cool.

TIPS: Double the recipe. Simple to double and just trust me…DOUBLE THE RECIPE! Make a few at the time and freeze the rest. Also when baking take them out before they brown. For me that means right before 10 minutes. They should look not quite done. This is to ensure that you end up with the most epic cookies in history. ENJOY!

So do tell, what are your favorite Christmas cookies?
